At DGTal Solutions, nothing is more important to us than the success of our clients, that is why we pay a great attention to the protection of all data we collect from them. We have established comprehensive security measures to protect all data transmitted to us in the course of using our services from unauthorised access by third parties. DGTal Solutions complies with the GDPR and has its data protection measures regularly reviewed by experts. In addition, we support our clients with technical solutions to meet all GDPR requirements.
What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR has been in force since May 2018 and establishes a uniform legal framework for companies with regard to the processing of personal data of EU citizens. In essence, the GDPR aims to protect sensitive data and give individuals greater control over how their data is collected, processed, stored and disclosed.
All companies that collect or process personal data of EU citizens are obliged to prove the lawfulness of data storage and processing to clients, users or supervisory authorities upon request. Further information on the GDPR can be found on the website of the European Union.
Your Data, Your Rights
DGTal Solutions processes personal data on behalf of its clients. We always process data responsibly and want to inform you about your rights which you can exercise with regard to the use of your personal data.
Right to information
When you are an our client, you can obtain information about your personal data processed by us at any time and free of charge. For this purpose we provide you with a report regarding all data stored by us.
Right to correction
If the information concerning you is not accurate or incomplete, you may request that it must be corrected or completed.
Right to deletion
You can request the deletion of your personal data at any time. In some cases, client’s data deletion is only partially possible because we are required by law to retain such data (e. g. Invoices and taxes).
Right to limitation of processing
You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted. In this case, we will block your data for further processing.
Right of objection
You have the right, for reasons arising from your specific situation, to object at any time to the processing of the data concerning you.
Right to appeal
If you believe that we have not fully complied with your request, you may file a complaint with the appropriate supervisory authority. Please contact the relevant data protection authority in your state directly.
Cloud for Data Storage
All client’s confidential data that has been transmitted to us and regularly extracted within the scope of our services is collected and archived in a data storage facility, so-called “cloud”, located in the European Union. This data storage is encrypted with proven security software and is thus optimally protected against unauthorized access. In contrast to a public cloud, our private cloud is exclusively used by DGTal Solutions and only DGTal Solutions has access to the stored data.
